Jim Riehls Friendly Ford of Charlevoix is currently looking to hire experienced Automotive Technicians.  Automotive Technician experience is REQUIRED for this position! MI state certifications and Ford certifications are a PLUS.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.  Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
  • Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications·
Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Requirements:
  • Previous Automotive Service Tech Experience
  • State Certification Required 
  • Ford OEM and/or ASE Certification are a PLUS
